Operated by a team of subspecialty-trained radiologists in cooperation with Asheville Radiology Associates, this department offers a full range of state-of-the-art diagnostic services and a special unit just for women.
General services include:
- Digital fluoroscopy
- Ultrasound
- Nuclear medicine imaging
- Computed tomography (CT) screening
- Mobile magnetic resonance imaging (MIU)
- A trauma room just 15 feet from the emergency department
The women’s imaging unit features:
- Mammography
- Ultrasound
- Bone density equipment

Available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, TCH’s emergency department is staffed by highly trained emergency medicine and trauma care nurses and physicians. The department also performs breath alcohol testing and legally sensitive treatment for victims of assault. For situations beyond our scope of care, the Hospital provides medical air ambulance service to regional medical centers.
