Measuring Quality
If you are accessing this information, you are among the many Americans who are seeking more detailed information to help determine the quality of care you will receive at a hospital. We understand, and agree, that quality care is the most important gauge of an organization’s value to you.
Because there are no universal quality measurements adopted by all healthcare organizations, it is difficult to compare “apples to apples.” However, we voluntarily participate in several national programs to measure the quality and value of our care, and to help you know more about us.
- Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations “Quality Check”
- Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) “Save 100K Lives” Campaign
- Medicare Hospital Quality Online Report
- North Carolina Center for Hospital Quality and Patient Safety
