Hospital Sponsors Second Annual Haunted House to Benefit United Way
BREVARD, N.C., Oct. 22, 2007—Transylvania Community Hospital employees are teaming up with local businesses and students to host the second annual TCH Haunted House to raise money for the United Way of Transylvania County.
The haunted house will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 7-11 p.m. at the Boys & Girls Club of Transylvania County on Gallimore Road in Brevard. Admission to the haunted house is $5 per person. All funds raised from the event will go directly to the United Way of Transylvania County.
“The theme of this year’s haunted house is a motor vehicle accident and then a hospital visit that goes terribly, terribly wrong,” said Linda Fluck, director of Transylvania Community Hospital Home Care and the hospital’s fundraising chair for the United Way Campaign. “This year’s haunted house is more than twice the size of the one we had last year. And we have even more help putting this event on thanks to volunteers from the hospital’s staff, as well as students from Brevard College and the Schenck Job Corps Center.”
Wal-Mart of Brevard, Lowe’s of Brevard and Jennings Builders Supply have also donated materials being used to construct and decorate the haunted house. All funds from the United Way are given to agencies that serve residents in need in Transylvania County. For more information about the haunted house, call 883-5254.
