Hospital Gift Basket Raffle to Benefit United Way
BREVARD, N.C., Oct. 16, 2007—Transylvania Community Hospital employees have teamed up to create 11 themed gift baskets to raise money for the United Way of Transylvania County.
The baskets, which are valued as much as $300 each, will be raffled off on Oct. 31. Themes for the baskets include Garden Lovers, Tailgating Fun, Dog Lovers and Night at the Movies. All funds raised from the raffle will go directly to the United Way of Transylvania County.
“These gift baskets are truly amazing,” said Linda Fluck, director of Transylvania Community Hospital Home Care and the hospital’s fundraising chair for the United Way Campaign. “The United Way is a great agency that does so many things in our community, and we wanted to be able to give back to them. Our hospital employees have truly outdone themselves in the creation of these baskets.”
The gift baskets are on display in the hospital’s Connestee Falls Café. Tickets for the raffle cost $1 each and can be purchased at TCH Home Care and various locations in the hospital including Human Resources and Medical Records. For more information or to purchase raffle tickets, call 883-5254 or 883-5436.
