Transylvania Community
Hospital Foundation
Transylvania Community Hospital has grown immensely in the sphere and quality of its services during the last few decades. Much of the support for that growth can be attributed to the Transylvania Community Hospital Foundation. Founded in 1986, the Foundation has raised millions of dollars to expand the level and scope of healthcare available for our community.

Ways to Give
TCH Foundation works hard to make it easy for you to give. We are glad to work with you and/or your financial planner to help you determine a gift strategy that fits your desires. Some of the more common ways of giving to the Foundation include:
- Gifts of cash and appreciated stocks
- Gifts of real estate
- Charitable gift annuities
- Charitable remainder trusts
- Charitable lead trusts
- Bequests
- Life Insurance
For an explanation of these gift strategies, to explore other strategies or to talk about the Foundation, call us at 828-877-4777. All gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible, and will be used to support Transylvania Community Hospital. The Hospital is a non-profit, private organization which receives no county or other governmental support. It operates on funds generated through fees for services rendered and by the generosity of the community it serves.
In support of the Hospital, the Foundation raises, manages and disburses charitable gifts. These gifts enable the Hospital to expand programs, purchase equipment and maintain an up-to-date facility. Funds are distributed in facilities, education, technology and special programs and projects.
More Than You Imagined...The $14 million Inpatient Wing Project
The TCH Foundation is currently in the midst of a capital campaign to fund a new $14 million inpatient wing. The wing’s design will bring patients, families and care providers together in a calm, efficient, state-of-the-art healing environment.
The 25,000 square foot wing will have 30 new rooms for medical/surgical and critical-care patients. These rooms are designed for easy mobility, staff efficiency, and patient comfort and safety. Centralized nursing/physician stations provide greater efficiency and privacy. Patient charting systems will be electronic. Patient intake, waiting and consulting areas are large allowing for increased convenience and privacy. The building also includes the renovation and expansion for the dietary department.
For more information on supporting the campaign or to get involved, contact the Foundation at 828-877-4777.
